Site News: Webcomic Info and a Personal Announcement

I've had a blog post on hold for a while, so my blog's been empty save for those "automated" schedule updates. What's your opinion on them? Do you want them? Would you prefer a surprise? Do you find them annoying? Do you find them helpful? Drop feedback in the comment box below this post.
Anyway, I figured I had something to say, and it can't be said anywhere but the blog. I'm working on a webcomic. I've been working on "a webcomic" of some kind for over 2 years now, but the basis for this "webcomic of some sort" has changed. I've worked on it with 3 different people, and had 4 different ideas to base it around. I had such ideas as a crew on a starship and their antics, 2 roommates and a homeless Frenchman that start up an electronics store, a planet/time/dimension-hopping soldier in a never-ending war across time and space, and even just a "Joke-a-Day" one-off comic. Only in the past 6 months have I decided to buckle down on an idea, script it out, draw it, and put it out on the web without a partner. I almost had a buddy write it, but that idea fell through. I'm working on it as we speak. There's a slight tweak on mine that I, for one, don't see too often. Maybe there are plenty of people who do this and I don't know any, but here's what I'm doing:
The Ecoticity Webcomic will be broken up into books. They will share a history, but not necessarily characters, plotlines, or settings. All of them will tie into the same timeline, however. I have plots out for the first 3 books (already thinking too far ahead), and they have absolutely nothing to do with each other, but they all sink into the same continuity. Will I tie them together? I may, I'm not sure yet. Most of my ideas, save for the first book, are just concepts right now. I haven't written beyond the first yet. I'm just putting this thought out into the ether that is The Internet to see what my readers think.
So, to answer your as-of-yet unasked question: YES, there will be a webcomic. When will it happen? I have no idea whatsoever. While I'm on this topic though, I have another thing to announce that is somewhat relating.
Come this fall, I'll be enrolling in a college. Yep, I'm finally getting around to getting a higher education, and this might affect my website. I will probably still be able to update with reviews on time, but I don't know what this will do to my webcomic plans. Only Zeus knows how it'll turn out. I may start getting it done immediately, and get it posted in a few months; I might also get so busy I won't get ready for public consumption for another 2 or more years, I just don't know. I will try my hardest to get it out.
